##  Electrical safety at Harvard 

All staff who work with or near electrically energized equipment must follow basic electrical safety requirements, including:

- Complete the required training.
- Recognize and communicate electrical hazards.
- Assess and plan for risks.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Follow safe work practices, including using safety devices and equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections.

Electricians and staff who work directly with electricity must also:

- Complete National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E Standard training.
- Follow NFPA guidelines.
