EH&S provides services designed to minimize the risks associated with the use of hazardous chemicals in research, teaching, and conservation laboratories; and laboratory support facilities. We also help the laboratory community ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations addressing chemical use in these areas.

Department Update

EH&S provides tips on ways to keep safe when using chemical fume hoods here. The chemical fume hood often is the primary control device for protecting lab researchers from exposure to toxic or flammable chemicals.
