EH&S is responsible for managing ionizing and non-ionizing radiation at Harvard. In addition, we provide safety training and guidance for those working with radiation. Our top priority is to keep our personnel, laboratories, and facilities safe.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Radiation Control Program was on campus for 2 days in January to inspect Harvard's Radioactive Material License. After inspecting records, auditing laboratories, and interviewing material users, they were happy with the program here. We passed with no-violations. Congratulations to all radioactive materials users for maintaining excellent safety standards!
