Harvard Contractor Safety Assessment Program

Harvard uses CSAP to objectively assess contractor safety performance and help the construction project management community make informed decisions.

All contractors bidding on Harvard construction projects must enroll in CSAP.

Project managers and contractors can review Harvard projects enrolled in CSAP.

Project enrollment

If your construction project value exceeds $300,000, you must enroll your project in CSAP and the Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP). Construction projects include renovations, new construction, tenant fit-outs, utility upgrades, and major repairs.

Before your project begins:

Required CSAP enrollment information:

  • Project name.
  • Harvard school.
  • Harvard project manager name.
  • Contractor name and address.
  • Approximate contract value.
  • Expected start and completion dates.
  • Building use and construction type.

After the general contractor enrolls the project in CSAP, the Harvard project manager and the contractor project manager can access project safety information.
