In line with Harvard University's on-campus meeting and event guidance, we are suspending the Safety Moment Challenge program until further notice.
Please note the following:
- If you have already submitted safety moment content, your entries will remain in our system and will be entered in our first drawing once the challenge is reopened.
- If you have safety moment content related to meetings that you have held already but have not uploaded yet, your entries must be submitted by 4:00pm on Friday March 13th 2020.

A Safety Moment is a brief safety talk (five minutes or less) that is shared during a regularly scheduled lab group meeting. Submit your Safety Moments to EH&S to enter for a chance to win a catered food event for your lab!
Topics may include:
- Overview of safety considerations for a new procedure/experiment
- Discuss a recent incident or a near-miss in the lab
- Show this risk assessment video or this working alone video (or create your own!)
- Address findings from a recent EH&S inspection
- Safety best practices
If your Safety Moment content can be shared on our website and at Harvard University Safety Committee meetings, your entry will be counted twice!
Three raffle drawings will take place throughout the year. Entries must be submitted by 12:00pm on April 15th 2020, August 15th 2020, and December 15th 2020.
All Harvard University researchers, students, and staff working in a Harvard lab in a Harvard building are eligible to participate.
